In this session we'll cover various techniques to build multilayered visual effects, as well as Nesting techniques to quickly create complex visual effects. We will cover the different types of Nesting (simple and expanded), how to fill text with moving backgrounds, and building multi-layered effect templates.

This session is intended for the intermediate level user who wants to achieve more efficiancy with effects.


Designing Creative Titles with AVID Marquee

This session will cover Marquee in depth, teaching you how to create dynamic titles from a simple lower third to animated, 3D extruded titles along with lighting and motion paths. Also included in this session: the amazing Auto-Titler!

This session is intended for anyone who wishes to work with the Marquee title tool.


Media Composer Hidden Gems and Goodies for Most Creative and Efficient Work

Avid Paint and Animatte - The Dynamic Duo

Using Scriptsync + Phrase Find in Avid

Creating Animated 3D Text with Photoshop Extended

Photoshop is the main image editing application in the market today, but if you think of it only as an image editing application think again.  Using Photoshop Extended we have access to Repoussé , which creates a 3D shape by inflating the surface that interpolates the input curves.

Using Photoshop CS5's new Repoussé tool, you can create broadcast quality 3D titles and logos, and then animate them right in Photoshop! In this workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of creating and animating 3D text, placing lights and animating your 3D objects using keyframes.

FCP X - Rethinking your Editing Style

We'll walk you through the interface, so you'll know where everything is, you'll learn the ins and outs of marking of in and out points, insert and overwrite editing, adjusting audio, Using transitions and filters, and creating basic titles.

Adobe Production Premium - Deep Integration: Levering Roundtrip Editing and Dynamic Link between Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.

This session will explore Adobe Dynamic Link, a feature included in the Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium software that eliminates intermediate rendering between Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro. We will also explore the creation of "sequence ready" Photoshop documents from directly within Premiere Pro.

Audience: This is an introductory session for folks who have started using Adobe CS 5/5.5, but have never explored the best ways to integrate other applications into their editing workflow.
