Speaker Interviews
Robbie Carman

What would your track include? How is it beneficial to attendees?

I'm speaking in two tracks - The Editing with Final Cut Studio track and the Adobe Production Premium Track.  In the Final Cut track I will be speaking about Color Correction in Final Cut Pro, Ingesting Media in Final Cut Pro and Compositing Techniques with Final Cut Pro and Motion. In the Adobe Production Premium Track I'll be speaking about Color Correction in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.  These sessions are beneficial to attendees as they can learn techniques to better help their workflow in two of the most popular creative software packages in the industry.

Any session you would particularly like to highlight, and why?

I would highlight the session on Color Correction Using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.  In the past few years Adobe Premiere Pro has positioned itself as one of the best editorial tools in the industry but it also has a full featured color correction tool set, coupled with Adobe After Effects with the Color Finesse Plugin, powerful masking and rotoscoping capabilities there is not a whole lot you cannot do when it comes to color correction and grading with these toolsets.  The session will also feature techniques and combination of techniques that many users can use in their own projects
Jeff Greenberg

What would your track include? How is it beneficial to attendees?

In Avid sessions, we're really going to dive deep into the hidden settings that can maximize how Media composer works.  In most software the default settings are for novice users; we're doing to push heavily into understanding how certain settings can help and hinder you.

Any session you would particularly like to highlight, and why?

Each session!

The Compression session with Sorenson Squeeze??  Everyone needs to have a better foundation when it comes to compression.

The Avid script sync/phrase find session?  If you're using a Media composer and editing narratives/news/documentary/industrial work, these features change the way you edit.

The FCPX Color tools session? This is how you're going to finish in FCPX!

The Optimizing Avid settings?  This shows the truly hidden corners of Media Composer.

The Switching to Avid Session?  If you're using another tool, this will allow you to cheat and start using Avid Media Composer faster.
Luisa Winters

What would your track include? How is it beneficial to attendees?

My tracks are about Adobe products - more specifically: Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro.

I will go over techniques (both advanced and basic) that will help attendees with the creation of new ideas and the development of existing ones.  Most of the students will come out with newer (and better) ways of doing effects and efficient ways of editing.

Any session you would particularly like to highlight, and why?

Advanced techniques in Premiere Pro, because it will concentrate on workflow to make the attendees work better and more efficient.
Yossy Tessone

What would your track include? How is it beneficial to attendees?

My track would include amazing sessions to help Avid editors become more efficient in their daily work-flows.

There are sessions for general editing, trimming, effects, titles and more.

Attendees will walk out with new knowledge, gaining tips on how to improve the way they  work on Avid. They'll be able to implement these tips right away, it will save them a huge amount of time, and help them become more efficient.

Any session you would particularly like to highlight, and why?

'Hidden gems and goodies' - I think every Avid editor will pick up something they didn't know that will make them go: "Huh, that's cool, i didn't know that."
Sean Casella

What would your track include? How is it beneficial to attendees?

My tracks would include:

Troubleshooting in FCP X - What to Do When Things Go Wrong - Cant really give you a good answer here.. The software has just been released 3 days ago and I am still trying to understand the new concepts and workflows... I will have to get back to you on this sessions benefits.

Creating Dynamic titles in FCP X - This session will benefit attendees by understanding how to create titles in the new FCP X software in a total new way working environment than the way they did it in the past..

Mastering Motion Behaviors - This session will benefit attendees by showing them how to create eye catching motion graphics with the power of Motion behaviors instead of the traditional key framing that takes much time to accomplish.

Any session you would particularly like to highlight, and why?

The session I would like to highlight is my session in Mastering Motion behaviors. This session will be the most creative and informative session that I do at this conference.

Why? Motion is my personal favorite application and the session will take the skills of the attendees to the next level by attending my session on Motion 5.
